About TKD Beginner #2

TKD Beginner #2 is the entry class for students aged eight and up at The RAZ in Rockland, Ontario. White and yellow belts learn stances, blocks, kicks and their first pattern in a 45-minute class that moves faster than the younger beginner group.

Teens and adults who are brand new to Taekwondo are welcome here or in the Teen and Adult class. The first class is free.

What athletes learn

Stances, blocks and hand techniques with power
Front, turning and side kicks on pads
First pattern, counting and terminology in Korean
Fitness, flexibility and focus

Your first class is free

Try a class before you commit. Tell us the student’s age and any martial arts experience and Rick will reply with the best class to start in. Membership is arranged after your free class.

Questions parents ask

I am an adult beginner. Is this the right class?

Beginners aged 8 and up are welcome. Adults can also choose the Teen and Adult class on Thursdays.

Is the first class free?

Yes. Try a class, then Rick will confirm the right group and membership.

How often should a beginner train?

Once or twice a week. Many students add the All Levels class on Thursdays.

What should I wear to the first class?

Comfortable athletic clothing. A uniform comes later.
